April 2023 Update:

Sadly we’ve received notification from Casilando that they will no longer be accepting UK players, effective immediately.

Since Bingo Paradise is only able to recommend UK Gambling Commission-licensed sites that are open to UK players, we have removed our affiliate links to the brand.

If you’re a UK player and have concerns about your account, we suggest you contact: [email protected]

———–

Casilando is an oddly-named online slots site operated by White Hat Gaming Limited, a Malta-based brand that owns and operates several top casinos.

I tried Google Translate on this one and was informed that “Casilando” is Somali for “Casilando”.

Google Translate is as useful as always.

My best guess is that it’s a portmanteau of “Casino” and “Land”, but as the site’s “theme” amounts to little more than a tri-colour logo seemingly designed in the 1990s, it’s hard to know for sure.

As with all White Hat Gaming casinos, Casilando has a very simple design that is far from unique or exciting but makes for an easy and hassle-free experience. It works with most popular mobile devices and also looks good on desktop, which is how most of the following Casilando review was conducted.

I’m sure I had a duvet with that same design back in ’95.

Welcome Offer

Your first introduction to Casilando comes in the form of  20 No Deposit Spins  just for registering and then you can go on to claim the second part which is a 100% Welcome Bonus up to £100, and 20 Bonus Spins. You need to deposit just £10 to qualify for this and there is a £100 cap on that Welcome Bonus, so £10 gets you an extra £10, £100 gets an extra £100.

The 20 Free Spins are for the popular Book of Dead slot and there is a 35x wagering requirement that applies to the bonus credits and all Free Spin winnings. You have 30 days to meet the wagering requirements, 10 days to use the spins, and you can’t wager more than £5 per bet during this time.

This is usually when I include the “but”, as a “but” is never too far away in the online gambling sector.

You have won a holiday in the Maldives, but Piers Morgan is your travel companion. You have a brand-new 70-inch OELD TV but can only watch Love Island.

Surprisingly, however, there is no catch with this Casilando Welcome Bonus. Of course, there is still a wagering requirement and you’re not simply getting free cash, but the minimum deposit is low, the wagering requirement is respectable, and are no exclusions for PayPal users.

If there is a “but”, it concerns the casino’s bonuses in general. Because, once you have finished with the Welcome Bonus, there isn’t much left to get excited about. Casilando has pretty much dropped the ball when it comes to loyalty bonuses, and that’s a huge shame.

Slots and Other Games

Casilando recommends downloading its casino app if you want the “complete Casilando experience”. This is available for both desktop and mobile users. Thankfully, though, it’s not necessary and you can play directly through your web and mobile browser.

The idea of a download casino is a little dated. Mobile apps are more acceptable, but downloadable desktop software? Not only are they unnecessary in this day and age, but most old-school gamblers picture malware, laggy games, and intrusive ads when they think of downloadable casinos, so they don’t have the best reputation.

That’s not the case with the Casilando app, but it doesn’t really deliver much of an improved experienced either, so don’t feel like you need to download it.

The games come courtesy of many beloved developers and include bonus slots, jackpot slots, Live Casino games, virtual table games, and a few number games thrown in for good measure.

There are new games added all of the time and there are also a few games here that I have not seen before, which is a rarity.

Deposits and Withdrawals

Some sites list the Casilando pending withdrawal period as between 12 and 24 hours and Casilando also advertises “fast withdrawals”. But in my personal experience, it can take several days, and there are also some user reviews saying the same thing.

Withdrawal speeds are very important these days and that’s why many sites have made the switch and focused on rapid withdrawals.

Generally speaking, this is not one of those sites. The withdrawal speeds seem to be a little quicker than Jumpman Gaming websites like Aztec Wins, but they are definitely not instant and you can expect to wait for a couple of days.

Of course, it depends on what method you’re using. PayPal payments will hit your account as soon as the casino processes them, but you will need to wait an extra 2 to 4 days for Visa and MasterCard withdrawals.

Casilando Review Summary

Most modern online casinos invest a lot of time and money into loyalty programs and loyalty bonuses. It has taken them a long time, but they have finally realised that making sure players stick around is just as important as attracting them in the first place.

Unfortunately, this is something that Casilando struggles with. It’s a site that will tick a lot of boxes for a lot of players, one with a fantastic Welcome Bonus and good payment options, but with relatively slow withdrawals, limited reload bonuses, and the lack of a dedicated VIP Program, there’s no reason to stay for the long haul.

Casilando FAQ

  • What Payment Options are Accepted at Casilando?

Casilando accepts PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Neteller, Bank Transfers, and a few other payment options. You can see a full list of these in the website’s footer, but many of the methods listed here are not actually available to UK players. You can definitely use PayPal and debit cards, though, and those options should be enough to appease most players.

  • How Long Do Withdrawals Take?

When it comes to withdrawals, Casilando is usually quick and typically processes most payments in under 24 hours. This is not the case for all players, though, and you may need to wait on those funds for over 48 hours.

  • Is Casilando Regulated?

Casilando has licenses in both the United Kingdom and Malta, the former of which is relevant for players in the UK.

  • Does Casilando Have a Responsible Gambling Program?

Casilando has deposit limits, reality checks, cooling-off periods, and a self-exclusion. It is also a member of BetBlocker and GamStop, which you can use to set industry-wide limits and a complete self-exclusion.
