White Hat Gaming is a brand I have encountered a lot in the last year or so. Just like Paddy McGuinness, they seem to be everywhere in 2022. And just like the loveable Paddy, that can only be a good thing, as it’s a brand that usually cheers me up and never fails to put on a good show.
21 Casino is the latest offering from White Hat. It has a rather generic name and a simple-yet-refined aesthetic, but it adopts the same streamlined layout seen on other White Hat Gaming Sites. You’ll also find many similar games and features, and while that can usually be a little disappointing, it’s okay to be formulaic if you have a winning formula.
As hinted above, the “21” doesn’t seem to mean anything. There are so many casinos and sportsbooks out there that I think the operators have given up using creative or meaningful names. It’s just a case of throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks, and that’s probably what happened here.
You might be thinking that it’s because 21 is when you can legally gamble in the UK, but it’s actually 18.
But while the name was seemingly born out of nothing, White Hat are trying to make this one stick. They have seemingly taken a leaf out of 888Casino’s book and offer “21” themed bonuses.
Of course, no one cares about 21 Free Spins or a 21% deposit bonus, so they have taken a few liberties by bumping it up to 121%. It works brilliantly for players, as it offers an extra £0.21 for every £1 you deposit when compared to traditional casino Welcome Bonuses.
There is a £300 cap on this bonus and you must deposit at least £10 to qualify, giving you a £12 bonus if you stick with the minimum. The wagering requirement is fixed at a low 35x and must be met within 30 days while exceeding no more than £5 per wager.
21 Casino are also offering 50 No Deposit Free Spins to New Players. The Free Spins are on the ‘Book of Dead’Game and will be credited automatically when you register your account. The Free Spins will expire after 10 days, and any free spins winning will be credited as bonus funds with a cap of £100 and a 35x wagering requirement.
It’s one of the best White Hat Welcome Bonuses I have seen, but as with other White Hat sites, 21 Casino suffers from a lack of additional bonus options and VIP Programs.
VIP programs are ubiquitous in the online gambling industry these days, and that’s great. They used to be rare and I spent half my career moaning about that. These days, you can find them on most of the best casinos and bingo sites (they are still rare on sportsbooks, with the exception of PokerStars), but White Hat Gaming clearly didn’t get the memo.
Slots and Other Games
The White Hat Gaming roster includes over 3,000 slots from many respected developers, including Big Time Gaming, Play’n GO, and—a personal favourite of mine—Blueprint Gaming. The majority of these make their way to 21Casino, though you won’t find all of them here.
The site has a good selection of progressive jackpot slots and Megaways slots, and it also has a vast Live Casino with games from Evolution Gaming and Pragmatic Play Live.
Take your pick from dozens of Live Dealer games, including common card games (Blackjack, Baccarat), popular game shows (Deal or No Deal, Monopoly), and games that aren’t very well known here (Andar Bahar, Dragon Tiger).
For something a little different, click on the “Other Games” section, where you will find multiple Slingo titles, as well as virtual scratch cards and number games.
Depositing and Withdrawing
21Casino accepts PayPal, debit cards, Skrill, Neteller, PaysafeCard, and more. Not all methods are available in the UK, as the site also targets players from dozens of other countries, but there is a good selection for UK players.
What’s more, all withdrawals are processed within 36 hours and most are finalised after just 12 hours. Withdrawal limits are high, customer support is very friendly, and the site looks good and works well on both mobile and desktop.
21Casino Review Summary
21Casino has a lot going for it, including a big Welcome Bonus and a good selection of games. It’s not perfect, though, and it’s definitely not original.
But it’s hard to criticise a casino for not being original these days, and the same criticism could be levied at 99.9% of other sites out there.
It’s like watching the Premier League every week. You’re not always going to see overhead kicks and spectacular volleys. De Bruyne won’t always crack one in from 30 yards and Salah won’t always beat the entire opposition and chip the ‘keeper. But that doesn’t make the other goals less worthy, nor does it make the other games less unwatchable.
Sometimes, generic is good, providing it’s done right, and 21Casino definitely ticks that box.
