Welcome offer
Heart Bingo borrows its name from a national radio station, which is an honest description of the arrangement: the brand is used under licence from Global Media Group Services Limited, and the site is run by somebody else.
That somebody is BV Gaming Limited, registered in Gibraltar as company 42734, licensed by the Gambling Commission under account number 39576, by the Revenue Commissioners in Ireland under licence 1010233, and in Gibraltar through BV (Gibraltar) Limited. It took the site over in September 2021. The bingo runs on Playtech.
Two welcome offers, and you can only have one
The welcome is a choice rather than a package, and the terms are explicit that you get one of them: a customer is eligible for a single welcome offer across the bingo and the casino promotions, regardless of how many accounts they open.
Both start the same way. Register, opt in, deposit at least £10, then play £10 within seven days of registering. What you play that £10 on decides which offer you receive.
- Play £10 in any bingo room and you get a £50 bingo bonus. Wagering is four times the bonus, so £200 of play, and the most you can take out of it is £200. The bonus expires seven days after it is credited.
- Play £10 on any slot game and you get 100 free spins on Make Me a Millionaire, worth 10p a spin. Launch that game to activate them. Winnings go straight into your cash withdrawable balance, with no wagering attached, and the spins expire seven days after being credited.
Which one, and the trap underneath
The two are not equivalent in value, and the better one depends on what you came for.
The bingo bonus is bigger on paper at £50, but it is bonus money you must turn over four times before any of it is yours. Four times is well under the legal ceiling of ten, so it is a fair requirement, and £200 of bingo tickets is a lot of games rather than a lot of money if you are buying at 5p or 10p a ticket.
The spins are a smaller stake: 100 spins at 10p is £10 of play. But whatever they win is cash immediately. On the value system we use, where getting your money out matters more than the size of the headline, that is the more valuable of the two, and it is rare. Most free spins on British bingo sites pay in bonus funds carrying a further requirement.
Now the trap, and it is a real one. The terms say offers are completed in the order you opt into them, and your wagering only counts towards the first one. Combine that with the fact that the £10 you stake decides which offer you receive, and the sequence matters: opt into the one you actually want before you start playing. Video Bingo is excluded from the slots offer, so staking there will not qualify you for the spins.
Promotions
The ongoing schedule is busy and heavily gamified. When we looked it included a Birthday Balloon Burst and a Birthday Wheel, an Under the Sea Wheel, a Days of Summer board, an Autumn Gold Super Wheel, Gorilla Thrilla and the Feel Good 5 daily game.
The pattern behind them is consistent and worth reading once rather than nine times. Each asks you to opt in and play a set amount, usually £10 on bingo or £20 to £100 on selected slots, in exchange for a spin, a board or a game whose rewards are free spins, bingo tickets, bonuses or cash. Rewards expire after seven days.
There is also a Newbie Room and Saturday free bingo for players who qualify, which is the part of the schedule that costs least to take part in.
Bingo rooms
This is a large bingo operation, and the room list is the best evidence of it. On a single visit we recorded Heart and Soul, The Feel Good Bingo! Room, Age of the Gods Bingo, Deal or No Deal Bingo, Clover Rollover Bingo, Value Bingo, Speed Bingo, Bingo 75, Deal or No Deal 75, Bingo 80, Pattern Bingo, a £10,000 raffle, and the Bingo Linx daily, weekly and monthly games.
Ticket prices ranged from 1p to 40p, with most rooms sitting at 5p or 10p. Prize pots ran from £10 up to the £85,000 advertised on Bingo Linx Monthly, and several rooms carried progressive jackpots in five figures.
Bingo Linx is a shared network game, which is how a site reaches a five-figure guaranteed prize at a 10p ticket price. The trade-off is the usual one: the room is not yours, and several thousand players may be in it.
Slots, live casino and Slingo
The slot lobby is broad and multi-supplier: Big Bass titles, Gates of Olympus, Razor Shark, Divine Fortune, Eye of Horus, Fishin' Frenzy, Game of Thrones and a long list of Cash Collect and Megaways games, alongside Playtech's own catalogue.
The live casino is stocked from Evolution, with Crazy Time, Lightning Roulette, Monopoly Live and Dream Catcher. There are RNG table games, instant win and scratch games, and Slingo has its own section.
Depositing and withdrawing
The qualifying deposit is £10 and the site accepts debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay for the welcome promotion.
Account verification is required before you can withdraw, which the operator states plainly rather than leaving you to discover at the cashier. That is the correct order, and it has been the legal position in Britain since May 2019: a licensed site must verify you before you play, not after you win.
Who it suits
Bingo players who want a serious room schedule with real jackpots, and slot players who would rather have £10 of spins paid as cash than £50 of bonus money with strings.
It suits you less if you want both halves of the welcome, because you cannot have them, or if the wheels-and-boards style of daily promotion leaves you cold.
Playing safely
A schedule of daily games that each ask for a qualifying stake is designed to make playing a routine. Seen clearly, that is the product rather than a gift, and it is a reason to decide your own limits before you opt into anything.
Every licensed British site provides deposit limits, loss limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, and they can be set when you register. If gambling has stopped being entertainment, GamCare runs a free confidential helpline on 0808 8020 133, and GAMSTOP will exclude you from every licensed British site at once.
Heart Bingo review summary
Four out of five. The reason is the one thing here that most sites do not do: 100 free spins whose winnings go straight to your withdrawable cash balance, with no wagering attached. That is worth more than a bigger number carrying a requirement, and it is the single best term on this page. The bingo alternative is fair too, at four times wagering when the law allows ten, and the room schedule behind it is genuinely large, with 1p to 40p tickets and network jackpots into five figures.
It stops short of five because of how the welcome is structured. You get one offer, not both, the £10 you stake decides which, and wagering counts only towards whichever you opted into first. That is three conditions stacked on a decision most people make in the first five minutes of an account, and the site does not make the consequence obvious. Add a £200 ceiling on the bingo bonus and a seven-day clock on everything, and there is enough small print here to cost an inattentive player the better of the two deals.
