Information about No Wagering Casinos
Wagering requirements are the bane of a gambler’s life. These conditions are attached to most bonuses as a means of protecting the casino and limiting how much players can win. If you’ve ever looked at an online casino bonus offering free spins or bonus cash and wondered, “What’s the catch?”, the answer is the wagering requirement.
But there are no wagering bonuses out there, as well as casinos that remove these terms from all of their bonuses. Take a look at the sites on this page to see them for yourself.
What is a No Wagering Casino?
A no wagering casino is one that offers bonuses without wagering requirements. There was a time when these bonuses were few and far between. At best, you’d get a few free spins or bonus credits as part of a loyalty bonus or loyalty program. Those offers still exist, but these days there are a number of casinos devoted solely to no wagering bonuses.
They seemingly cater to the players that have spent years struggling through wagering requirements and getting frustrated with the process. We’ve all been there—you collect a large sum, miraculously turn it into several hundred quid, and by the time you burn through the wagering requirement, there’s nothing left.
I have lost count of how many no deposit free spin bonuses I have collected. I have also had my fair share of offers from Jumpman Gaming casinos out there, including 1,000% matched deposit bonuses.
However, I can count on one hand how many times I have met the wagering requirements with a worthwhile sum intact. Still, I had fun using them, and while I’m not going to pretend that’s the main goal, it certainly helps to soften the blow.
How Do No Wagering Bonuses Work?
On the surface, wager-free bonuses are the same as all other promotions. You make a deposit—there are also no deposit wager-free bonuses—collect your spins or credits, and then start spending. But that’s where the similarities end.
Usually, casinos would implement a wagering requirement to ensure you can’t withdraw that cash immediately or after a quick double-up. These terms require you to wager the funds a specific number of times, often between 20x and 50x.
With wager-free bonuses, there are no such rules.
Usually, these bonuses are offered in the form of free spins. That way, not everyone will have funds left over after free spins, and of the ones that do, many won’t have enough funds to clear the minimum withdrawal.
It also forces players to get acquainted with the site, giving them a taste and potentially convincing them to make further deposits. After all, if you really like the slot and the casino, there’s a good chance you’ll make a deposit and continue playing after using all of your free spins.
Sure, the vast majority of players will just leave, but enough of them will stick around to make this a worthwhile offer on the casino’s part.
What Are No Wagering Slots?
No wagering slots are slot machines that don’t have any wagering requirements, as opposed to ones that you can play for fun (often referred to as “demo mode” or “fun-play”, these games are free variations of the real thing and are used to give you a taste of the rules and features).
So, a no wagering casino can offer no wagering slots. Either way, it means you don’t need to clear wagering requirements and can keep what you win.
There will be other terms and conditions, though, and it’s important to check these before you collect and start using the bonus.
What You Need to Know About No Wagering Bonuses
Casinos are for-profit businesses, so obviously they’re not interested in giving money away. Terms are used to mitigate some of the losses and while there is no wagering requirement, there are some other considerations.
These include:
Lower Bonus Amounts
Some matched deposit bonuses offer over £100, and there are also 500 free spin promotions out there. These are big offers, and they’re made possible by wagering requirements. Needless to say, no wagering bonuses don’t go this high and are usually limited to just £10/£20 or up to 50 free spins.
If you want big bonuses with an eye-catching number of free spins, you’ll need to contend with wagering requirements. If you want to avoid those requirements at all costs, be prepared for a more modest spin count.
Max Wins
A maximum win/withdrawal is the second line of defence after the wagering requirement. Some casinos make it clear that there is no max win, but unfortunately, that’s not true for all of them.
A maximum win is literally the most that you can claim from a bonus. If such a term is in place and you exceed the stated amount, the additional credits will be void.
Even if the casino doesn’t have a win cap in place, there may be similar terms designed to mitigate losses. For instance, they may restrict you to playing slots with a low maximum payout or a low RTP. At the very least, they will likely exclude all progressive jackpot slots.
Minimal Withdrawal Limits
Every casino has a minimum withdrawal amount. This must be met before you can withdraw. It’s usually not a problem, but if you’re collecting a relatively small amount, it can be.
For instance, let’s suppose that you’re given a bundle of 50 free spins worth £0.10 each, or £5 in total, along with an initial deposit of £10. You have a little luck and turn those 50 spins into £5 cash, but the casino’s minimum withdrawal is £20.
As a result, you’re unable to go any further. You’ll either need to deposit more money or risk some of your balance.
There are some exceptions, though. In the UK, casinos with withdrawal limits will let you withdraw less if you request it personally. You may be charged a small fee for this, but in the above scenario, it would likely still leave you with more cash than you initially deposited.
This is not a result of the casino doing you a favour. It’s a requirement set forth by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission. All licensed casinos must allow players to withdraw their full balance at any time.
Of course, this doesn’t include bonus funds, and if these are taken away or the casino refuses to let you properly use them or withdraw them, there isn’t much you can do.
Real money balances are subject to strict regulations that favour the player. Bonuses are mostly the domain of the casino and are governed by their terms and conditions. If you break those terms, they have the right to void the bonus.
Payment Restrictions
Payment methods are not weighted equally in the eyes of the casino. Some methods are a little more complicated and expensive, and so many casinos exclude them from bonuses.
Skrill, Neteller, and Paysafecard are the most commonly excluded options, but PayPal is also added to that list on occasion. You may still be able to deposit using these methods, but if they are excluded, you won’t be given any of the bonus.
There are a lot of UK PayPal casinos out there, so the payment method is widely accepted. It’s just not as widely available on first deposit offers and other bonuses.
Check the terms and conditions on specific bonuses to learn more. I used to use PayPal all of the time on UK casinos, sportsbooks, and bingo sites, and I found that the easiest way to check was to open the full bonus terms and conditions and then use the find function (press CMD and F on MacOS and CTRL and F on Windows) to search for “PayPal”.
You can do the same for your chosen payment method, as well as other key terms.
