Bingo Paradise Rating

Betfred is an established and trusted UK betting brand. It has been around since 1967 and the first betting shop is said to have been funded with winnings from a bet placed on England to win the ’66 World Cup. Betfred Bingo hasn’t been around as long, but it still has a good 15 years behind it.

So, how does it compare to the likes of Foxy Bingo and Wink Bingo? Let’s find out.

Welcome Offers and Other Promotions

One of my biggest gripes about so-called “bingo” sites is that all of their promotions are focused on the casino and sportsbook. You’re offered bonus credits for table games, free bets for the sportsbook, and free spins for the slots.

You’re there to play bingo, not slots.

Thankfully, Betfred Bingo actually focus on bingo games and offer £10 in bingo tickets  and 100 Free Spins for players who stake at least £10. To qualify, you need to buy £10+ worth of bingo tickets within 14 days. You’ll also need to create a chat name. You don’t have to participate in the chat though, which is great for antisocial people like me.

I don’t care how much free cash, credits, or tickets you’re offering me, if I have to talk to people, I’m out.

You may need to validate your account via text message and there are also restrictions for players who use prepaid cards and web wallets, so it’s best to stick with debit cards.

Other promotions are available and some of these are focused on slot machines. For instance, there are occasional free spin offers, giveaways, guaranteed tournaments, prize draws, and more.

As with Jumpman Gaming casinos like Free Spirit Bingo and Rocket Bingo, the promotions improve around key holidays. Christmas is usually the best one, but I’m writing this review during the Easter holidays and there are some big offers available.

Games Available at Betfred Bingo

Betfred Bingo has a great variety of bingo games.

I’m big on gimmicky rooms, and there’s no shortage of those here. You can join bingo rooms based around the Playtech Age of the Gods series, as well as the brilliant Rainbow Riches from Barcrest. And if these are not quite your thing, there are some standard bingo rooms as well as a Bargain Lounge where you can play for as little as 1p per ticket.

The average ticket price tends to be closer to 10p per ticket, but there are many games with higher and lower prices. Player levels vary, as you would expect, but Betfred is a huge brand and has a lot of customers, so there are very few empty rooms.

At the time of writing, there are between 50 and 300 people in each room. I’m writing this review on a Monday afternoon for context, but it’s a Bank Holiday, so I expect you’ll encounter much lower player numbers at other times.

I mentioned that I don’t like bingo sites that focus entirely on slots, but that doesn’t mean I dislike bingo sites with slots in general. It’s good to have a few jackpot games and classic slots available, and that’s what you’ll find at Betfred Bingo.

You can spin a number of Megaways slots and play for a variety of progressive jackpots. Some of the standout titles include Fishin’ Frenzy, Deal or No Deal Megaways, and Eye of Horus Megaways.

It’s not the biggest selection, but they have all been cherry-picked. It’s quality over quantity, and while I would probably have an issue with that on an online casino, it’s not a problem on a bingo site.

Depositing and Withdrawing

Betfred Bingo accepts PayPal, Neteller, prepaid cards, and debit cards. There are no fees for depositing or withdrawing and while that doesn’t sound like a big deal, you’d be surprised at how many sites charge these days.

Technically, there is no minimum withdrawal on Betfred Bingo. However, you must withdraw at least £5 through the site. If you want to withdraw less, you’ll need to contact customer support.

I don’t have any experience with this, but I did have a positive experience with the customer support team a few years ago. I got a message out of the blue telling me that I had funds in my account. It seems I had placed a bet I had forgotten about and it won, only for me to never return.

They messaged me, informed me, and then processed the funds to my account instantly when I asked.

There are minimum deposit requirements as well, but these vary from method to method and are usually around £10.

Betfred Bingo Review Summary (4/5)

Betfred Bingo is not the flashiest bingo site, nor is it the biggest. It doesn’t have the widest selection of games or the best bonuses. But it’s clean, simple, easy to use, and comes with a selection of top bingo games and slots. There are lots of progressive jackpots and Megaways slots and you’ll also find bonuses that actually offer bingo tickets.

It doesn’t have enough to get the full 5/5 rating, but it’s not far off. I would always rank sites like Foxy Bingo higher, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t recommend Betfred Bingo.
