Skywind Holdings has completed its acquisition of Intouch Games Group, an award-winning technology company. This move will bolster Skywind’s position in the gaming industry and will make them a force to be reckoned with in the UK market.

In Touch own and operate eight casino brands in the UK market, these brands include Jammy Monkey, MFortune and Mr Spin.

One of the things we’ve always liked best about InTouch game sites is the fact that they create all of their games in-house, meaning you’ll never see their games outside of their network. For some the distinct lack of Fluffy Favourites on Intouch’s sites may be cause for panic, whilst for others, it may be a breath of fresh air!

Intouch is a sizeable company, with 500 employees based at several different locations, including the UK, Romainia, Cyprus, Vietnam and Taiwan.

As you’d expect, Skywind Holdings is itself a rather large company and this aquisition will turn them into a rather large company indeed! Once the takeover is complete, they’ll almost double their employee count of 600.

Comments from Skywind

Having recently created successful B2C partnerships in Romania and Colombia, this acquisition was “a natural fit and will immediately increase Skywind’s presence and visibility in UK, a key European market,” the company stated.

What does this mean for players?

From a players point of view, we expect there will initially be no changes, but in the slightly longer term, players may benefit from the addition of Skywind content (games) to the existing Intouch brands.

The UK Market

The UK market remains a difficult place to operate, with the publication of the Gambling Act review expected imminently. The difficult commercial environment is perhaps the reason why Skywind opted to strengthen its position by purchasing existing brands rather than forging new ones from scratch.

Intouch Regulatory Action

In recent years, Intouch was unfortunate to make the headlines for failures in social responsibility, money laundering, and marketing failures.
