I am not a big fan of Pay by Mobile as a payment method (more on that below), so an entire site named after this method was always going to be a difficult sell. Sure, I love slots, but it’s the first three words of the title that concern me.

It is also a Jumpman Gaming site, and if you have read my previous reviews, you’ll know that I have a love-hate relationship with this developer. We’re not exactly getting off to the best start, but it’s not all bad news and there are some redeeming features, as the following review will show.

Welcome Offer

Pay by Mobile Slots has a 100% welcome bonus capped at £50, with an additional 10 free spins on Sweet Bonanza. You must deposit at least £10 to qualify and there is a 65x wagering requirement. As big as that sounds, it’s not the biggest issue with this bonus.

As with other Jumpman Gaming welcome bonuses, the maximum conversion is equivalent to your lifetime deposits, and as this is your first visit to the site, it means you can’t win more than you deposit. So, if you deposit £10, collect £50, and have £50 left in credits when the wagering period ends, you’ll lose £40.

Other Promotions

When you consider the wagering requirements and cash out limit, the Pay by Mobile Slots welcome bonus isn’t great. However, it more than makes up for this with its loyalty offers, and there are plenty of these to go around.

The site has a loyalty program based on challenges and trophies. You collect the latter while completing the former, and if you have enough, you can unlock further bonuses.

There are reward reel promotions, tournaments, and giveaways as well. In fact, Jumpman Gaming sites always excel when it comes to giveaways, and there is usually a new one available every month. Check the site’s promotions page to see what’s on offer at the start of every month.

The layout is not the most complex or interesting, but it’s simple and it’s easy to find what you’re looking for, so that’s all that matters. Pay by Mobile Slots also works well on both Android and iPhone devices.

Deposits, Withdrawals, and Fees

Pay By Mobile is probably the payment method that I have complained about the most in the past. To make matters worse, I have complained about Jumpman Gaming’s banking options more than any other.

Prepare for a lot of moaning.

Firstly, let’s address the elephant in the room: Pay by Mobile. It is a mobile payment method that lets you quickly fund a casino account with up to £20. Sounds great, right?

Well, that’s not the whole story.

You are charged £2.50 for each transaction that you make, and as you’re only allowed deposits of £5, £10, or £20, that £2.50 adds up to a massive percentage of your cash.

Secondly, it adds the funds to your mobile phone bill. It’s essentially a form of credit gambling. Sure, it’s not as bad as people putting hundreds and even thousands onto their credit cards (a habit that ultimately led to credit card gambling being banned in the UK), but £20 can still be a lot of money if you’re struggling with an overdraft and don’t have a penny to your name.

Thirdly, there is no withdrawal option. In a way, this makes things worse for potential problem gamblers, as it means they’ll be tempted to wager whatever they win rather than going to the trouble of adding another payment method.

If they do add another method and withdraw, they’ll lose another £2.50 thanks to Jumpman Gaming’s withdrawal policy.

Just like Pay by Mobile’s deposit fee, that £2.50 is fixed. You will pay that amount whether you withdraw £10 or £100.

So, let’s imagine a scenario where you deposit £20 using Pay by Mobile. You now have £22.50 on your mobile phone bill and £20 in your Pay by Mobile Slots account. You win some money, lose some money, get bored, and then decide to withdraw £20. But in doing so, you’re charged £2.50.

It means that the act of breaking even has just cost you £5.

Maybe I moan about this too much, but very few other operators and payment methods charge such high fees and they need to stop.

Pay by Mobile Slots Review Summary

Pay by Mobile Slots is a solid, slot-heavy site besmirched with the name of something I hate. It’s as if someone created a really soft and cosy hoody and then decorated it in the colours of Sunderland AFC.

At first glance, I was worried that Pay by Mobile would be the only method offered here. That’s not the case. In fact, Pay by Mobile Slots is really just like any other Jumpman Gaming site. The name seems more about winning SEO points or appealing to mobile players than anything else. So, I can forgive Jumpman for that.

I can also appreciate the fact that Pay by Mobile Slots offers a stack of top slots, lots of reload bonuses, and a simple and easy-to-use layout. It helps that the site accepts PayPal, just in case you want to use a real payment method.

All things considered, I’m happy to give Pay by Mobile a solid 3/5. If we did halves, it would probably be 2.5, but we don’t, and that would be unjustly harsh anyway.
