New York is the city that never sleeps, which probably has something to do with all the traffic noise. It’s the Big Apple, the financial hub of the United States, and the emblem of western capitalism. It’s also iconic, and even painfully shy, noise-phobic introverts secretly wish to visit at some point.

NYspins aims to capture the style, chaos, and opportunities offered by this grand city. It’s operated by SuprPlay Limited, a Maltese-based company that holds licenses with the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission, the latter of which allows it to operate legally in the UK.

The NYspins Welcome Bonus looks fantastic at first glance, but the closer you look, the worse it gets.

Firstly, let’s get the good stuff out of the way.

When you join and deposit for the first time, you’ll get a 100% match on your deposit, and this is capped at £50. It’s far from a big cap, but to casual players who typically deposit £50 or less, it doesn’t really matter.

There are also 50 Free Spins up for grabs, all of which are available on Book of Dead.

So, what’s the catch?

Well, the first issue is that you must deposit at least £20 to qualify. It’s a little on the high side for a minimum deposit, especially when you consider the cap is only £50. Secondly, and more importantly, there is a staggering wagering requirement of 30x that applies to both the bonus and the deposit amounts.

Many wagering requirements are fixed at just 35x or so and usually cover just the bonus. The fact that this one applies to both effectively turns it into a 60x requirement.

The bonus expires in 30 days and there is a winnings cap of £500 that applies to the entire bonus. One of the stranger things about this wagering requirement is that there is a max bet contribution of £2.

So, not only is the requirement much higher, but it will take you a lot longer to get there and if you somehow make it with a big chunk of cash intact, you’ll lose all but £500 of it.

It’s still a bonus worth getting and it’s far from the worst I have seen, but it could have been so much better.

Loyalty Offers

The NYspins VIP Program is great. Not only does it offer numerous rewards, but it has multiple levels themed around the city of New York. You unlock boroughs as you advance and will also secure many big prizes.

Make sure you check the Loyalty Program as soon as you join so that you can become acquainted with how it works. From there, you just need to keep depositing and wagering as the points grow and you advance.

Slots and Other Games

The lack of specific, feature-based categories frustrates me on online casinos, but NYspins goes some way to fixing that issue.

It includes categories for slots with bonus rounds, Megaways, Win Both Ways, Drop & Wins, and Progressive Jackpots. There are still no filters for wild features and Cascading Reels, but it’s better than most in this area.

There are over 1,000 games to explore in total and while the bulk of these are slots from the likes of BTG, NetEnt, Blueprint, and Play’n GO, you’ll also find a full Live Casino and a decent selection of virtual table games, scratch cards, and more.

Depositing and Withdrawing

The minimum deposit on NYspins is £20, and this is also the lowest amount you can withdraw.

There are a couple of anomalies worth pointing out here.

Firstly, the site’s payment options page states that MasterCard withdrawals are limited to £20. However, this seems to be a mistake and doesn’t mean you can’t withdraw any more than £20 using Mastercard.

Of course, as this is the UK, you can’t use credit cards to deposit or withdraw, so this only applies to debit cards.

Secondly, while PaysafeCard is available for deposits, it’s capped at £250 and the nature of the payment means that it can’t be used for withdrawals.

All withdrawals are processed instantly, so you should get web wallet winnings instantly but will need to wait for between 2 and 4 working days to get debit card withdrawals.

NYspins Review Summary

If the SuprPlay Limited name sounds familiar, you may have encountered some of my other reviews on this brand’s sites, including Duelz Casino and Voodoo Dreams. I praised both of these sites for their originality and noted that they were nearly perfect, if not for some minor issues.

I had a similar experience with NYspins. Aesthetically speaking, I actually prefer the two sister sites, but NYspins has one of the best loyalty schemes of all these sites and offers the same varied selection of games. It’s very similar, and in some areas, it’s basically just a carbon copy that has been given a fresh lick of paint, but if the end product is this enjoyable, who cares?

I’m still stopping short of giving NYspins Casino top marks, as I think it’s not as well-rounded as the likes of Wink Slots and 888Casino, but it’s definitely one of the better sites that I have reviewed.
