There are only so many bingo site names in the world. Once you finish playing around with bingo calls and equipment (Two Fat Ladies Bingo, Tombola Bingo), and use all the fun and mildly suggestive adjectives (Wink Bingo, Foxy Bingo), you’re left with few choices.
You can scrape the barrel and get lucky, or you can find some dull, confusing, and downright bizarre names that should have never seen the light of day.

As much as I love most of the sites on this list, they fall into the latter category.
Bingo Loft
Bingo Loft is a simple name, and it makes sense at first glance. It’s a loft full of bingo games—cool, right? The problem is that this is the UK. When we hear “loft”, we don’t think of a fancy penthouse complete with glitzy decor and leather sofas. We think of junk rooms stuffed with old TV and PlayStation boxes, along with the winter clothes you stored seven summers ago while telling your partner that they definitely still fit you and you’ll dig them out as soon as the weather gets hotter.
Also, spiders. Lots of spiders. They are the sole reason I haven’t been in my loft for ten years, and no amount of fancy bingo games would get me up there.
Online Bingo
The issue with Online Bingo is not that it uses a nonsensical name or theme but that it’s as generic as they come. It makes my life confusing as a reviewer (“Can you please review Online Bingo?”), and it’s hard to imagine how this one made it out of a brainstorming meeting,
I imagine the question of, “What should we name our online bingo site?” was met with a lot of humming and harring, followed by a decision to let the SEO team handle it. Maybe we should be thankful it’s not called Best Online Bingo Site UK. Although, now that I say that, there’s almost certainly a site out there with that name.
At this point I should probably take a swipe at some other, equally bad generic match names, Bingo Games, Slot Games and SlotsUk.
Dino Bingo
I was very harsh in my Dino Bingo review, and it wasn’t just the name. I’ve always said that you can be as quirky as you want in this industry as long as you run with it. Want your bingo site to be about dinosaurs? Great, then give us a fun mascot, lots of dinosaur imagery, and some smart copywriting.
Dino Bingo didn’t do any of that. It had a solid foundation of games and bonuses, but it looked dated, the copywriting was confusing in places, and other than the name, logo, and passing references to dinosaurs, there was nothing else to connect the theme.
Also, if you launch a site with a dated design and call yourself a “dinosaur”, you’re asking for trouble.
I’m using past tense as Dino Bingo is no longer around. Visiting the domain will now redirect you to Wink Bingo. It’s probably for the best, and judging by the sheer lack of relevant results on Google (when I search for “DinoBingo”, Google assumes I made a mistake and gives me results for DuoLingo), it won’t be missed.
Love Hearts Bingo
It’s not necessarily a bad name, but if you’re going to name yourself after a sweet, why choose the most disappointing one in the bag? Wham. Drumsticks. Blackjacks. Fruit Salads. There are so many delicious retro sweets that they could have gone with, but instead, the team at Love Hearts Bingo chose the sweets that people give to elicit a brief “aww”, followed by a scramble for the bin.
They’re the sweets you throw away before grabbing the Dib Dab or Drumsticks. On the plus side, at least they didn’t name themselves Bounty or Wax Lips. Such choices would warrant a boycott.
Gravy Train Bingo
Gravy Train Bingo is another bingo site that has since disappeared. It was an odd choice. I get that they were telling players they can ride the “gravy train”, as disgusting as that image is, but it reeked more of a casino developer saying, “Let’s ride the gravy train of bingo popularity by launching a cookie-cutter site”.
Maybe I’m being harsh, but they certainly wouldn’t have been the first to adopt such an approach, and judging by the site’s rapid closure, I wasn’t the only one who thought that.
Other Bingo Sites with Questionable Names
- Bingo Aliens: Are they aliens that play bingo? Are we the aliens? Is it set on another planet? We’ll never know, as the logo and name are pretty much the only things that form the theme.
- Lucky Pants Bingo: Some would argue that this one deserves to be on every list of the worst bingo site names. Personally, I love it. It’s odd. It’s quirky. And there’s nothing else like this out there. I’m only including it because it’s bizarre.
- OK Bingo: This one is named after OK! Magazine, and follows a trend that has seen many newspapers and magazines use their name for bingo sites. That’s fine, but if you didn’t know that, you’d see this as a site that is proudly declaring itself to be mediocre. It’s not Fabulous Bingo. It’s not Quality Bingo. It’s just “Okay Bingo”.
- Aunty Acid Bingo: This one actually gets a lot of things right, including the use of a mascot and a theme that ties to the name. But Aunty Acid? They could have chosen a less corrosive name. It seems to be down right now, but I’ve reviewed this one before, and bad name aside, it was a decent site.
Summary: Worst Bingo Site Names
There are some atrocious names out there, and we’ll no doubt see many more in the future. Bingo is hot right now, and everyone is trying to grab a share of the spoils, so time will tell what kind of terrible names future creative teams will conjure up.
Just remember, there is more to a bingo site than a name, and some of the ones I have listed above are excellent sites that are well worth a look. Check them out, and let me know your thoughts. Similarly, if you know of any terribly-named sites I have not included here, tell me!
