Monster Casino was launched in 2021 by ProgressPlay Limited, a Malta-based company with a license from the UK Gambling Commission. It has a clean aesthetic and a theme that can be boiled down to “blue”. Not exactly monstrous, but they’re not the first ones to completely ignore their own name/theme, so I’ll give them a pass.

Welcome Bonus

The Monster Casino welcome bonus gives you up to £1,000 across your first 5 deposits with the site. The minimum deposit is £20, and as long as you meet this milestone with each of your first 5 deposits, you’ll get the following:

A wagering requirement of 50x applies to all bonus credits and there is also a winnings cap of 3x for the bonus and £20 for the free spins. These terms dull the shine a little bit, and it doesn’t help that the deposit match is just 25%, but the fact you’re getting a return on your first 5 deposits saves it.

There is also a rewards program that tasks you with completing missions, earning badges, and climbing a leaderboard. Once you have accumulated enough points, you can spend them in the rewards store. There are many prizes to win as well, the biggest of which come via the real money slot tournaments and giveaways.

I am not a big fan of the layout of Monster Casino. It’s dated and messy, and it gets even messier when you play on a desktop and try to reduce the size of the window. A lot of work must be done to make the site truly dynamic and ensure it’s fluid and clear regardless of what device you use.

Beyond that, there is a good selection of games, and these come from a couple dozen top providers, including Big Time Gaming, Blueprint Gaming, NetEnt, Thunderkick, Pragmatic Play, and Playtech. The games room includes options to search by game type (including “Slots”, “Vegas”, and “Jackpot”), and there are also sections for “Favourites” and “New”. None of that really helps if you’re looking for specific themes or features, but that’s where the search function and developer list come in.

You can use the search function to find features mentioned in the name of the slot, such as “Megaways” and “Jackpot”. The provider list narrows the gaming selection down to your favourite providers, which is helpful if you only want to see the 3D games from NetEnt, the unique-themed titles from Blueprint Gaming, or even the live games from Evolution Gaming.

Verdict: Monster Casino Review

One of the things I didn’t mention above is that Monster Casino has a sportsbook, but it doesn’t look great and I would never pick it over more established sportsbooks like bet365. The casino has much more going for it. It still doesn’t look great and has a somewhat static and dated feel, but it’s hard to argue with the selection of slots and table games, and there are plenty of promotions too.

The welcome bonus could use some work, what with the low deposit match and win caps, but it’ll appeal to high rollers and gives you 5 shots at getting a return. The withdrawal fee is also a frustrating inclusion, but at 1% with a £3 cap, it’s not going to do much damage.
