If Royal Valley looks familiar, it’s because it adopts the same template seen on other sites run by Grace Media, an operator that is gradually expanding and has a large number of sites on its roster. I’d love to say that the similarities are only skin deep and that there are many original elements hiding underneath. Unfortunately, though, that’s not the case.

The online casino sector is not exactly known for its originality, though, and cookiecutter themes are common. So, don’t judge it too harshly just yet. Let’s take a closer look.

Welcome Bonuses

A fairly bog standard welcome bonus awaits. New players will be rewarded with a 100% deposit bonus (up to £200), upon making a first time deposit of at least £10.

It’s all pretty standard stuff, with some pretty standard T&Cs:

Loyalty Offers

The welcome bonuses didn’t exactly blow me away, and the same is true for the loyalty promotions. Again, they are not terrible, but they are lacking.

Two such offers that appear regularly are the Mystery Win and Weekly Wheel. They both give you a spin of a prize wheel when you deposit qualifying amounts (£20 and £200 over the last 24 hours and 7 days, respectively). The Mystery Win guarantees a win of at least 20 free spins, but the spins have a value of no more than £0.20 each, and there is a win cap of £5.

Casino Games and More

There’s nothing new in the Royal Valley games room, but sometimes, that’s exactly what you want. You want to play the game you know and love while collecting a different welcome bonus, picking up some loyalty points, and generally checking the site out.

It lists games from most of the UK’s best-loved developers, including NetEnt (Starburst, Fluffy Favourites) and Pragmatic Play (Big Bass, John Hunter). There are progressive jackpots and Drops and Wins, as well as complete mobile support. The only downside to this games room is the lack of proper filters. There is a search bar, which helps, and there are some generic categories as well, including “New” and “Featured”, but it’s not enough.

It’s good, but it could have been so much better. I don’t want to criticise them too much, though, as the same could be said for most online casinos.

Deposits and Withdrawals

PayPal, debit cards, Trustly, and Pay-By-Mobile are all accepted for deposits on Royal Valley, and they accept a range of between £10 and £30. You will pay a 15% transaction fee if you use the Pay-By-Mobile option, so keep this in mind. Players are also hit with a £1.50 fee on all withdrawals of £30 or less.

It punishes low-stakes players. At worst, it’s forcing them to try and win more than £30 to skip that fee, potentially putting their balance at risk. At best, they end up losing a sizable portion of their withdrawal just for the honour of returning it to their account.

Verdict: Royal Valley Casino Review

I wasn’t impressed by Royal Valley, but I wasn’t too disappointed, either. I wouldn’t rank it among the best casinos that I have reviewed recently, and I would always recommend the likes of William Hill Vegas and PokerStars Casino ahead of this one. It’s not terrible; it just doesn’t do enough to stand out and ends up blurring into every other Grace Media casino.
