Mr. Play (often stylised as “mr. play”) is an online slots site represented by a false moustache. It’s the site’s logo and, at the time of writing, it also randomly adorns the face of a young female model plastered across the home screen. It’s weird, it’s random, and I love it. mr. play has a sportsbook and an online casino, with more emphasis seemingly placed on the former. I have spent some time on this site. I’ve played the games, checked the bonuses, and even hassled the unfortunate customer support team. Here’s what I found:

The welcome offer, while it ran

Mr Play ran a conventional deposit welcome during its time, on the AG Communications platform rather than any prize-wheel arrangement. It is recorded here as history: the site closed on 28 May 2026 and the offer went with it.

Software Issues

The mr. play website isn’t anywhere near as quick as it should be. I encountered quite a few loading screens when I first visited the site and while I expected these to disappear once I had signed up, that simply wasn’t the case. The image below pretty much represents half of my time on mr. play. The image in question was snapped before I had signed up. I was trying to view the Live Casino at the time and was greeted with this loading screen. Incidentally, it was trying to load for over 60 seconds before I eventually gave up. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume these issues are temporary, but I can only report what I experienced, and what I experienced was a painfully slow and laggy site. There were a few other niggling issues, as well. For instance, I often play casinos in dual-screen mode on desktop, and when I’m not using dual-screen I always use smaller windows so I have access to other things in the background. When I tried to do this on mr. play, I was greeted with the following: It assumed that I was using a mobile and insisted on me increasing the window size. It’s a minor thing, I know, but a casino should know whether I’m on a desktop or mobile and should be prepared to accommodate me. That simply wasn’t the case, and it disrupted my experience somewhat.

Slots and Other Games

Although mr. play’s software might be flawed, the same can’t be said for its games. It works with top third-party developers like Play’N GO and NetEnt to offer its players a host of video slots, bonus slots, classic slots, and jackpot slots. It also has a Live Casino, a handful of virtual table games, and a good selection of virtual scratch cards. I would have liked to see some more category and filter options to make it easier to find what I’m looking for. I would have also liked the site to flow a little better and quicker, as noted above. But as far as the actual games are concerned, there’s a lot to like here. Surprisingly, despite the mobile issue outlined above, and the fact that I couldn’t play in minimized windows or dual-screen, the sportsbook was quite good. In fact, it seemed to be better designed than the casino and I had fewer issues with it. There were also a surprising number of sports and markets here, which isn’t always the case with sportsbooks added to casinos as an afterthought. Typically, they only focus on the biggest sports and most popular markets and ignore the obscure ones that I prefer, but mr. play definitely didn’t do that.

I’m rapidly approaching 40 and have used the internet for most of my life. I still remember the days when it took 5 minutes to download a single image, websites crawled at a snail’s pace, and you had to disconnect every time someone wanted to use the landline. Despite that, I have absolutely zero patience for slow websites and get frustrated very quickly. Such was my experience with mr. play. It wasn’t the slowest site I have encountered, but the laggy pages and occasional timeouts made for a frustrating experience. This minor: and probably temporary, issue aside, mr. play is a good gambling destination. The Welcome Bonus was decent, there was a good selection of slots, and the sportsbook wasn’t too bad, either. It could use some more loyalty promotions and better software, but on the whole, I enjoyed my time here.
