The casino industry is an intricately woven web of parent companies, subsidiaries, operators, and developers. The Bally brand is a prime example, and it gets pretty complicated.

Firstly, Bally Manufacturing was founded in 1932, later changed its name to Bally Entertainment, and then went defunct in 1996 (but only after being acquired by Hilton). Bally Technologies launched in 1968 as Advanced Patent Technologies, changed to Alliance Gaming, and then acquired Bally Gaming International (formerly part of Bally Manufacturing) before being bought out by Light & Wonder (formerly Scientific Games).

Still with me? There’s more.

The last piece of the puzzle is Bally’s Corporation, which launched in 2004 as BLB Investors, became Twin River Worldwide Holdings, and was then bought out by Caesars.

You’ll notice that none of these companies were founded in 1948, and yet Bally Bet clearly states “Bally™ 1948”. What’s more, all of these companies use the same logo. So, which “Bally” is in control here and how does all of this connect?

I have no idea, but if you have Poirot’s number, give him a call.

Welcome Bonus

Bally Bet promises that if you sign up and deposit £10, you’ll get 30 free spins. That’s pretty much all there is to it. The only other things you need to know are that this offer only applies to new players (over the age of 18, of course) and the free spins have a value of 20p each.

The spins are available on the Eye of Horus: Legacy of Gold slot machine and there is no wagering requirement. So, if you scoop a cash reward from those spins and it’s more than the site’s minimum withdrawal, you can cash out.

Check the terms and conditions for more info.

From time to time, there are also welcome bonuses targeted toward live casino players, usually in the form of matched deposit offers or cashback. None of these are very enticing though. They are all great for casual players and small stake players but might be a little too small for high-stake gamers.

Loyalty Bonus

As part of the Gamesys network, Bally Bet has the backing of an established, trusted, and vastly experienced operator that knows a thing or two about bonuses. There is always an abundance of offers available, and these include everything from daily free spins to matched deposit reload promotions and giveaways.

You won’t see much of these on the site’s main landing pages, but everything will appear once you sign up and are greeted with a different and more user-friendly layout.

Casino Games

Bally Bet offers a fairly eclectic selection of slots, table games, and number games, all of which come from the trusted Gamesys platform.

The slots are from big names like NetEnt and Blueprint Gaming while the live casino offers all of the usual suspects from Evolution Gaming. Speaking of the live casino, Bally Bet does something that many sites don’t and offers bonuses exclusively for live casino players. They are not the biggest or best bonuses that the site has to offer, but these games have a much lower house edge, so that is to be expected.

There are Slingo games and other interactive games too. You’ll notice that Bally Bet also has a poker section. Unfortunately, this is not the PVP poker you’ll find on sites like PokerStars and is basically just a category filter for Caribbean Stud, Three-Card, and other casino poker variations.

Deposits and Withdrawals

There is a £10 minimum withdrawal limit on Bally Bet and you must withdraw back to the method that you used to deposit. Options include Mastercard, Visa, bank transfer, and Apple Pay. It only takes a few hours for the casino to process payments, so you should get your funds on the same day that you cash out.

PayPal is not currently listed as a payment option, which is a shame and will almost certainly put some people off. I’m in that category myself, as I pretty much only play sites that use PayPal.

Verdict: Bally Bet Review

Bally Bet is everything that you would expect from Gamesys, an operator responsible for many great casinos. The layout is clean, there is a mass of games to explore, and you don’t need to worry about slow withdrawals or withdrawal fees.

The only downside is that Bally Bet doesn’t accept PayPal and the welcome bonus is a little lacking. It’s great that you can get 30 free spins with a deposit of just £10, and it’s even better that they don’t have a wagering requirement. But if you’re a medium or high-stakes player who typically drops £100+ at a time, those 30 free spins probably won’t entice you to sign up.
