Happy Tiger is a bingo site with a slots lobby attached, and its welcome offer is built on a basis that deserves more attention than its headline.

Welcome offer

A 100% match up to £100 of bonus. You opt in at sign-up and deposit at least £20 within 31 days.

A £100 ceiling is higher than most of the market and 31 days to qualify is generous. So far so good.

Then the wagering, which is where this offer differs from nearly everything else we review: you must wager both the deposit and the bonus together, at ten times if cleared solely on selected slots, or the equivalent of five times if cleared solely on bingo, within 30 days.

Why the basis matters more than the multiplier

Most wagering requirements are calculated on the bonus alone. This one is calculated on the deposit plus the bonus, and the difference is large.

Take a £50 deposit matched with £50 of bonus. Under the usual arrangement, ten times applies to the £50 bonus: £500 of qualifying play. Here ten times applies to £100: £1,000. The multiplier looks identical and the work is doubled.

It is disclosed, and it is not unlawful: the ten times cap in force since 19 January 2026 is the figure, and how the base is defined is a separate matter. But a reader comparing this with a bonus-only offer at the same multiplier is not comparing like with like, and almost nobody reads far enough to notice.

Bingo halves the work

The one genuinely good term here is the split. Clearing solely on bingo carries the equivalent of five times rather than ten, and combinations are allowed.

So the same £100 of deposit and bonus needs £500 of bingo rather than £1,000 of slots. If you are going to take this offer, take it as a bingo player. Doing it on slots is twice the work for the same outcome, and the site is a bingo site first in any case.

Working out what you would actually owe

Worth running the numbers at a few deposit levels, because the basis makes the offer behave differently from how it reads.

Deposit the £20 minimum and you receive £20, so the wagering applies to £40: £200 of bingo or £400 of slots. Deposit £50 and it applies to £100, so £500 of bingo or £1,000 of slots. Take the full £100 match by depositing £100 and the requirement lands on £200, meaning £1,000 of bingo or £2,000 of slots.

So the larger the deposit, the heavier the obligation, and it grows twice as fast as it would under bonus-only wagering. The practical conclusion is that the £100 ceiling is not the target it appears to be: a smaller deposit gives a requirement you can actually finish, and finishing is the only thing that converts a bonus into money.

Payments and the licence condition

The payment options are limited: Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay, with no PayPal. For a lot of players PayPal is the method of choice for withdrawals in particular, and its absence is a real gap rather than a detail.

The terms also state one offer across sites on the same licence. So if the operator runs other brands, claiming here uses up your welcome across all of them. Worth knowing if you had planned to try several.

Turning the headline into a real figure

Every bonus has two numbers that matter and only one of them is advertised. The first is the amount. The second is the play required before it becomes money, and it is the second that decides whether you will ever see the first.

At ten times, the legal maximum in Britain, a £50 bonus needs £500 of qualifying stakes. At four times it needs £200. Most players who abandon a bonus do so because the requirement was set beyond what they were ever going to play, not because they lost interest.

So read the multiplier before the amount. It is the honest measure of an offer and it is rarely the part being advertised.

Who it suits

A bingo player who deposits £20 or more and will play regularly enough to clear five times the deposit and bonus within a month. On the bingo route the offer is reasonable and the ceiling is generous.

It suits you less if you play slots, where the requirement doubles, or if you want PayPal, or if you were hoping to claim welcome offers across several sites in the same family.

Playing safely

A welcome offer is a reason to play for longer, not a reason to deposit more than you meant to. Decide what you intend to spend before you look at the promotion, and let the offer improve that figure rather than change it.

Every licensed British site provides deposit limits, loss limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, and they can be set when you register rather than after something has gone wrong. If gambling has stopped being entertainment, GamCare runs a free confidential helpline on 0808 8020 133 and GAMSTOP will exclude you from every licensed British site at once.

Happy Tiger review summary

Three out of five. A £100 ceiling is larger than most, 31 days to qualify and 30 to clear are both generous windows, and halving the requirement for bingo players is a sensible piece of design on a bingo site.

It sits at three because of the basis and the gaps. Wagering the deposit alongside the bonus doubles the real requirement while leaving the advertised multiplier untouched, the entry is £20 rather than £10, PayPal is missing, and one welcome covers every site on the licence. Read the basis, not just the number, and clear it on bingo.

  • No PayPal
  • One Offer Across Every Site On The Licence
