BoyleSports Bingo

BoyleSports once sponsored Sunderland, but we have all done things we regret. The company was founded in 1982, so technically it was only 25 at the time, and I did a lot of stupid things at 25 as well. It is now an official betting partner of Newcastle, which suggests somebody has learned.

As the name says, this is an Irish brand best known for its sports betting, and it has since dipped its toes into casino gaming and bingo. The bingo is what this review covers.

British customers are served by Boylesports Enterprise under Gambling Commission account 39469. Everyone else is served by Boylesports (Gibraltar) Limited, company 112469, licensed by the Government of Gibraltar under RGL 083 and 084 and by the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland. One site, two licensed companies, and your location decides which one holds your account.

Welcome Offer

There is not one for bingo, and that is the single most important thing to know before you register.

The promotions page carries exactly one bingo promotion, a Friday night quiz in the Baboon Bargain room. The free spins offer the group advertises is a gaming offer, earned by staking on the casino side, which is no use to anyone who came here to play bingo.

That is not much of a problem if you were going to spin slots anyway, since the one account covers both. If you are here purely for the bingo, it is a flat no, and every dedicated bingo site in the market will give you something for joining.

Promotions

Beyond the Friday quiz, the regular draw is the jackpots, which are substantial: two running at roughly 381,000 and 325,000 in the lobby when we looked, alongside a Bouncy Balls jackpot game.

There is also a group-wide weekly prize draw earning a ticket per £10 staked, with multipliers on selected games, and a loyalty section in the bingo navigation. What there is not is a published bingo promotions calendar of the kind the dedicated sites run daily.

That absence shapes what this site is for. A dedicated bingo brand gives you a reason to log in on a Tuesday: free rooms, a daily game, a prize ladder. Here the reason to log in is that you already have an account for the football, and the bingo is there when you fancy it. Which of those you want is the whole decision.

Bingo Rooms and Games

The rooms are the reason to be here and there are 10 of them, which is a proper spread rather than a token tab: Fluffy Favourites Bingo, Deal or No Deal Bingo and a separate Deal or No Deal 75, Lions Lair, Cheetah Chase for speed bingo, 80 Ball Bingo, Clover Rollover Bingo, Zebra Stripez for pattern bingo, the Rainbow Riches Bingo Room and Baboon Bargain.

Ticket prices run from 2 cents on the speed games to £2 on the rollover room, with prizes in the mid-teens to around 100 per game, so this is genuinely cheap bingo rather than a shop window. The full schedule is published and you can pre-buy tickets for games later in the day, which the better bingo sites all let you do and plenty still do not.

One thing to flag that is not a fault but will confuse you. The lobby showed ticket prices and jackpot totals in euros when we looked, because the brand is Irish and that is its default for a visitor who is not logged in. A British account is held under the British licence, so check the currency on screen once you have signed in rather than assuming the figures you browsed are the ones you will pay.

Depositing and Withdrawing

The cashier is the group's, shared with the sportsbook, the casino and the lotto, taking the usual debit cards and wallets. A single balance across all of them is the practical advantage of an account here.

No withdrawal timings are published on the public pages, which is a gap. For a company of this age it should be the easiest claim in the world to make in writing.

The one cashier habit worth knowing on any multi-product account is that bonus money rarely crosses between products. Casino bonus funds are not usually spendable on bingo tickets and free bet credit is not spendable on either, so read what a reward is before you plan around it.

Customer Support

Better than most bingo sites, because there is a telephone number. The operator publishes a British freephone line on 0800 22 00 66, separate Irish and international numbers and an email address, with cover stated around the clock.

For a bingo player that matters more than it does elsewhere. Bingo problems tend to be about a game, a ticket or a balance in the middle of a session, and those are faster settled by talking to somebody than by typing.

Review Summary

Four stars, and the score reflects the rooms rather than the welcome.

Ten rooms covering 75, 80 and 90 ball formats plus speed, pattern and rollover games, tickets from a couple of pence, two six-figure jackpots, pre-buy, a published schedule, a staffed phone line around the clock, and one balance across six products from a company trading since 1982.

The only real downside is the big one. There is no bingo welcome offer. Offers exist, but they come from the casino side, not the bingo site. If you enjoy spinning slots that hardly matters. If you came here just to play bingo, it is a flat disappointment, and the euro pricing in the logged-out lobby does not help a British visitor work out what anything costs.
