Rhyl is a beautiful seaside town situated in Denbighshire on the Welsh coast and is home to a population of around 27,000 people, a number that increases sharply in the summer when the tourists descend on the area!
According to the Daily Post (a Welsh newspaper), there are 13 reasons why Rhyl is ‘actually awesome ‘. They’re wrong because we know there are 14 if you include the Apollo Bingo hall.
This large club is situated in an accessible and convenient place near to Vale Road Bridge and has recently undergone a £500,000 refurbishment making this facility incredibly modern and well-presented.
A new foyer was created in 2016 and extensive exterior work has seen this building converted into an integral social meeting point and community hub. It’s all rather impressive and is hopefully a positive sign of things to come generally for bingo halls across the country.
About
The club is located centrally to town, close to Morrisons on Brighton Road and boasts its very own large, pay and display car park.
If you’re not coming by car, you may be pleased to learn that the club is just across the road from a bus stop and train station, making the property easily accessible via public transport.

Pricing and Games
Pricing can vary with games usually ranging from £6-£22 depending on the session and the day.
Weekday afternoon events cost £11 to buy all in and the afternoon session on a Saturday and Sunday costs £14 due to the popularity of the event.
If you’re looking for bingo on a budget, the best time to visit is currently Thursday Evening when the game costs just £1 to play!

Facilities
Following the extensive renovations, the interior was completely reworked. A new stage was crafted and an advanced arcade area was installed, along with new carpets, furniture and seating meaning that when you enter you can expect to be greeted by a modern finish – see the picture above, it’s actually all rather impressive.
The venue still offers the traditional bingo games but new, state of the art electronic bingo pads have been added. Newcomers to the game will appreciate this as it gives them a chance to become accustomed to the game and its pace before moving onto the classic version of the game – the pads are also superb for people who have disabilities and physically cannot participate in a normal paper-based game. These devices are intuitive and those already familiar with a smartphone or tablet device will master them easily.
Thankfully one thing that hasn’t changed since the renovation is the great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Whether you’re just popping in for a drink in the new social lounge, a bite to eat in the café or even if you have set your sights on a jackpot, the sociable staff are always on hand for a chat and to enhance your overall bingo experience.
