ICE36 sounds like an illicit mind-control substance plucked from the pages of a Philip K. Dick novel or a Fallout game. But it’s actually an online casino run by the famed Skill On Net, a brand behind several highly rated casinos here on Bingo Paradise, including the excellent PlayOJO. The brand doesn’t make it clear what the name means, but based on the logo, I’m assuming the “36” is a reference to roulette (which has numbers from 0 to 36). As for the “ICE”, maybe it has some hidden meaning. Maybe it means something obvious that flew over my head. Maybe they just thought it sounded cool and they forgot they were naming a casino and not an energy drink.
Not sure. But I do know that it doesn’t matter, so let’s get to the stuff that does.
Welcome Bonus
New players can collect 10 No Deposit Free Spins when they register and their account at ICE36. The Free Spins are on Starburst Slot and are valued at £0.10. The spins expire 30 days from issue.
ICE36 also promises to match your first deposit up to £50 when you sign up, verify your account (usually happens automatically), and deposit at least £10. The wagering requirement is just 30x, but it applies to both the bonus and deposit amount, so it’s effectively a 60x wagering requirement. It means that if you collect a bonus of £10, you must clear a wagering requirement of £600.
You can withdraw your real money balance at any time while this bonus is active, but you won’t be able to withdraw any bonus funds until you’ve cleared the wagering requirement. You have 30 days to meet those terms and can’t wager more than £5 or 10% of your balance on a single bet during that time.
There is also a welcome bonus that offers 136 free spins for deposits of £10 or more. The spins are fixed to the Big Bass Bonanza slot and have a value of £0.10. You must clear a wagering requirement of 60x
You can only collect one bonus every 72 hours across all sites owned by Skill On Net, so keep this in mind if you’re a casino nomad hunting for bonuses.
Loyalty Promotions
ICE36 promises its members daily free spin tournaments. These are a personal favourite of mine, as they give you an extra chance of winning on games you were going to play anywhere. The only downside is that I never win, and I never win because you usually earn payments based on total wagers and not win ratios, so they are heavily in favour of higher spenders. Still, there are a lot of cash prizes and bonuses up for grabs and if you are a frequent player and don’t play for small stakes, you could win big. They’re also completely free to join and you’ll still collect the money you win from playing the slots, so there’s nothing to lose.
ICE36 has a bunch of other promotions for you to collect as well. This includes a promotion known as Prize Twister. It’s a prize wheel and you’ll be given a free spin of it every Tuesday when you make a deposit. These prizes range from a handful of free spins to thousands of pounds.
Last but not least, ICE36 has a loyalty scheme with multiple levels and all kinds of perks, including higher limits, faster payouts, special promotions, and a birthday bonus.
Games
ICE36 is all about slots, despite being named after roulette. There are table games though, and you can also find live casino games, but slots are king here and there are hundreds of them to peruse. There are jackpot slots, Megaways slots, classic video slots, bonus slots, and more, and they come from top creators like Playtech.
Playtech has always been my favourite developer of all the big-name creators, and a large part of that is the Age of the Gods series, which is included here. It also has some of the industry’s biggest jackpots. They don’t come close to the ones offered by Microgaming, admittedly, but I much prefer Playtech’s style.
NetEnt games are here as well, while the live games are a joint effort from Evolution Gaming and Playtech, creating a massive selection.
Everything looks great on mobile, better than desktop in fact. I’m seeing that a lot these days. It’s partly because mobile apps have had so much investment in them, but mainly because casinos don’t seem to care much about their desktop sites. There was a time when a mobile site was just a slimmed-down, miniaturised version of the desktop site. Now it seems that the desktop sites are just blown-up versions of the mobile ones.
It’s like when I first saw an iPad and declared that it was just a giant iPod Touch and would never catch on. Not one of my finest moments…
Deposits, Withdrawals, and Customer Support
ICE36 has a good selection of payment methods, but withdrawal don’t seem to be instant. It does advertise faster payouts as one of the benefits of its loyalty program, but that’s a feature that should be available to all players and not just the most loyal of them.
Email and live chat are available if you need to contact the support team. However, live chat is only available for members, so you need to log in before you can use it. I am always very critical of this feature as it means your options are limited if you have an account issue and can’t log in. It also means you’re limited to slow emails if you have suffered an unjust account suspension and there has been a block on your funds. If you have ever experienced a similar issue on a gambling site (they are more common than you might think) you’ll know how frustrating it can be if you’re not able to get an immediate answer/resolution.
ICE36 Review Summary
ICE36 might have an ambiguous name and a design that doesn’t really suit my old-school desktop-only approach, but it excels in most other areas. There are a few minor nit-picking issues, including the fact that live chat is not 24 hours and only available to members, but these are minor issues and it’s an excellent site on the whole.
