Simba Slots is a savannah-themed slot site that is somehow not affiliated with The Lion King. So that we don’t give their legal team a heart attack, let’s just say it’s based on a generic animation set in the African wilds that may or may not have lions. But it’s definitely not The Lion King. Simba Slots is owned and operated by Jumpman Gaming, a familiar sight on Bingo Paradise and one that I have reviewed many times before (from Aladdin Slots to Fever Slots and more). It is licensed by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission and also holds a license from the authorities of Alderney. As with all Jumpman Gaming sites, there are some big negatives and even bigger positives to Simba Slots.

Welcome Offer

This bonus follows the same structure found on other Jumpman sites. It’s a Loot Chest that contains a random assortment of prizes - they're calling it Safari Chest. You have one chance to open the Safari Chest and uncover a prize within, and this could be anything from a batch Free Spins to an Amazon voucher. The biggest prize is a bundle of 500 Free Spins on NetEnt’s Starburst. All Free Spin winnings are subject to a wagering requirement of 10x and there is a maximum bonus conversion that is equal to lifetime deposits (up to £250). You must deposit at least £10 to qualify for this bonus and it only applies to first-time depositors over the age of 18.

Slots and Bingo Rooms

From Megaways to Cascading Reels, Dual Spin, and progressive jackpots, the Simba Slots games room covers many top slot mechanics. There are also table games, virtual scratch cards, and a selection of bingo rooms. It feeds into the Jumpman Gaming network, which is one of the largest around. As a result, those bingo rooms are always packed with players and prizes and you will never be short of options.

Customer Support

I am writing this review on the 30th of January. I emailed Simba Slots on the 24th to ask them if they accepted PayPal/Bitcoin, and if I needed to verify my details when signing up. It was a nothing question designed to test the speed of their email responses. So, how quick were they? Well, I’m still waiting to find out. 6 days later, they still haven’t responded. I did get an automatic reply to tell me that they are experiencing a large volume of emails and that I should send my account details to expedite a response, but that’s it. Nothing else. It annoys me for two reasons. Firstly, either they are ridiculously slow or they ignored me completely. Secondly, the implication is that they only respond to players who are already members. A lot of casinos do this, and it baffles me. If a shop assistant insisted that you buy and pay for an item before they answer any questions about it, you’d tell them to get lost and leave the shop. Yet casinos do this all of the time. This is a “must do better” mark on Simba Slots’ report card. And don’t give me the “it’s a pandemic” nonsense. That might have washed in 2020 or even 2021, but not now, and not when you consider that customer support reps can simply work from home. I do understand the difficulties that enforced isolation and absences have brought, but I emailed 20+ other casinos at the same time and all of the non-Jumpman sites replied within 2 hours.

Depositing and Withdrawing

Simba Slots has a minimum deposit of £10, and the same is true for withdrawals. It’ll take at least 3 days for you to receive your cash due to the prolonged pending period and there is a fee of £2.50 for all cash outs. The Terms and Conditions also state that while the minimum deposit is £10, the minimum to acquire subsequent Mega Reel spins (after the first time deposit of at least £10) is £20. This has been true in the past and it’s still true for some other sites, but as you can see from the Terms and Conditions pasted above, it clearly states “£10”. Simba Slots accepts Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, PaysafeCard, Maestro, and Pay By Mobile, the latter of which has restrictions on how much you can deposit and charges £2.50 for each transaction.

Simba Slots Review Summary

Simba Slots is a solid effort with a great selection of bonuses, some good games, and complete mobile support. The customer support isn’t very quick, the withdrawal speed is slow, and the fee is annoying. All things considered, it’s a good site with some big flaws, and that’s why it gets a 3/5 from me.
