Bingo Paradise Rating

Apparently, we all love Clover. But does that obsession transfer to online casinos?

Clover Casino is a slot-focused gambling site run by Grace Media Limited, a company that is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and based in Manchester. It is powered by Markor Technology, a turnkey gaming solution with a head office in Gibraltar and a tech development hub in India.

It’s not the prettiest site but looks aren’t everything. Let’s see if there’s any substance behind that lack of style.

Poorly scaled, not very attractive, and far too awkward

Welcome Offer

The Clover Casino Welcome Bonus offers 10 Free Spins just for signing up and these spins are all tied to the Finn and the Swirly Spin slot.

That’s where the positives end, though.

The main issue I have is the wagering requirement, which is a huge 60x. There is also a max conversion of £200, which is a little better.

10 Free Spins are great to get new players through the door, but those wagering requirements are far too steep.

On the plus side, if you decide to stick around then you can collect a cashback bonus of up to £200 or an additional Free Spin bonus of between 20 and 50.

Promotions

There are a couple of small promotions alongside the Welcome Bonus, but these seem to be few and far between. There’s certainly enough to keep your interest after you’ve collected the initial bonus, I’m just not sure how long that interest will remain.

Be sure to check the Terms and Conditions on any bonuses that you collect, as some of these have very high wagering requirements and may also restrict how much you can win.

Design and Features

Clover Casino has one of those annoying “We would like to send you push notifications” announcements that news sites insist upon. I get why a newspaper might want to keep me updated on how everything sucks, the world is burning, we’re all going to die, and Newcastle United have lost again, but what’s a casino going to tell me? It’s basically asking for my permission to spam me.

It’s a minor issue, but there’s more.

The site never feels like it “fits”. If I’m playing in a minimized window, as I often do, everything looks squashed and uncomfortable, with images that should be in the background or on the sidebars pushed to the bottom. If I maximise, I end up with a large window that I have to horizontally scroll just to see in full.

Maybe it was made for mobile and not for desktop dinosaurs like me. But this is 2022 and sites should be dynamic and adaptable. They should work in any window and on any platform.

The site looks dated as well. I had hoped that it would work like Jumpman Gaming in that you’re directed to a new interface when you join up, and the initial site is just a half-assed landing page. But that’s not the case and what you see is what you get.

Slots and Bingo Rooms

Clover Casino leans heavily on classic slot machines, but that’s not a bad thing. The casino’s developers include NetEnt, Yggdrasil Gaming, and Scientific Games, giving us titles like Starburst, Cleopatra, Rainbow Riches, and Fluffy Favourites. The games are familiar, reliable, and…well, there’s not much more that can be said.

It’s a slot site, so you won’t find many bingo games here, but the slots you will find are plentiful.

Depositing and Withdrawing

Clover Casino has a minimum deposit and withdrawal of £10, which is fine. What’s definitely not great is the £1.50 fee that’s levied on all withdrawals under £30.

It bugs me when gambling sites do this, as the best casinos and sportsbooks don’t charge fees and haven’t charged them for years, making sites like Clover Casino look dated.

Sure, there is method to the madness as they are charged small fees for processing these payments, but they make enough money and they spend a fortune on advertising. Surely, they could eliminate those payments and cut their players some slack.

There is also a clause in the casino’s Terms and Conditions that states they reserve the right to issue payment for a withdrawal “via cheque without the need to provide a reason.” Again, it’s an outdated practice and it’s completely unnecessary.

Withdrawals are also very slow and can take up to three days for what the site describes as “verification and AML requirements”. It’s understandable, to an extent, but if that was really necessary then all sites would take three days to process your withdrawal and that’s just not the case.

Clover Casino Review Summary

“Dated” seems to be the buzzword of the day here. The site design isn’t the best and has been poorly executed. The bonuses are decent but limited by Ts & Cs, withdrawals under £30 incur a fee, and it takes up to 3 days to process payments.

There are certainly some benefits here, including the fact that it accepts PayPal and has lots of classic games, but these are outweighed by the negatives.
