If you’re looking for a game of bingo in the Leeds area, then let us introduce you to Mecca Bingo Crossgates. This is a (very) large, busy club and being a Mecca brand, you can rely on a friendly welcome and a good range of facilities.

Session Times

Mecca Crossgates mostly has afternoon and evening sessions, though there is a morning bingo session that you can take part in on a Saturday and Sunday. Through the week, the emphasis is on the afternoon and evenings, with the first games kicking off around 12 pm.

The opening hours are published in our table above, but before making your plans, we suggest you check our information against the times published on the club website, you’ll find a link by the map above.

Game Prices

The pricing of this hall is fairly standard, with the earlier games being the lowest priced. If you’re playing at peak times in the evening or at the weekend you can expect to pay a little more. For paper bingo, you’re talking between £1 and £20, so as you can see, the prices to vary.

You may be pleased to know (or not) that this branch offers the Mecca Max digital consoles. These consoles have proven to be a bit of a love/hate thing, but they do nevertheless allow those who struggle to keep up with the paper-based bingo the chance to participate.

Getting to Mecca Bingo Crossgates

As you probably gathered (the clue is in the name), the Crossgates club is located a little outside of Leeds in the Crossgates suburb.

Fortunately, there are plenty of buses that service the property including the 64, 56 or 166 if you’re travelling from Leeds city centre. When you get on, tell the driver you’re going to Mecca Crossgates unless he/she’s been living under a rock – this should get you to the bingo.

If you prefer to drive, there’s a car park with spaces for more than 100 vehicles. This includes a handful of disabled for those who hold a blue badge. On the subject of disabled provisions, there’s disabled access to the club and also hearing loops for those that rely on hearing aids. The Mecca Max digital consoles that we mentioned earlier may be of interest to those with certain disabilities – if you’re unsure about this, it would be wise to speak to a member of staff upon arrival.

Trivia and Facilities

The Facebook page for this brand is a great way to keep up to date, the team seem to update the page on a regular basis – we’ve provided a link to the page above.

The building itself is absolutely massive, with some retail space rented out to local businesses. It’s an older hall, though it has been refurbished recently and we think you’ll find it offers everything you’d expect from a Mecca club.

ASDA Crossgates
In another life: ASDA occupied the now Mecca Bingo Crossgates

The history of the property that houses the club is fairly deep and varied. The ageing building has played host to a multitude of different businesses. The property was first opened as the GEM supermarket which later became ASDA, see the image above taken from ASDA’s website.

Sometime later ASDA closed and another supermarket under the name ‘Questword’ moved in. Eventually, Mecca Bingo took over the building which brings us to where we are today!

Anyway, onto the facilities. As you’d expect from a Mecca club, you’re in for a treat if you arrive hungry! The menu is varied and with generous portion sizes, you’ll have no difficulty finding something to your taste.

With great food comes great drinks and we’re not just talking about the tea and coffee.  If you do fancy a tipple – there’s a fully stocked bar at your disposal!

If you’re accustomed to the finer things you’ll be pleased to know the club offers table service – oh, la la!

In addition to the food and drink, Mecca also offers a range of slot machines just in case you tire of the bingo, or you could just head to that bar and catch up on the gossip with your friends.

Our Verdict

Mecca Bingo Crossgates is what we’d call a super club. What we mean by that is that it’s big, it’s busy and it should provide you with everything you’d want from a renowned bingo operator.

If you spot anything wrong with this page, please get in touch. We make every effort to keep things up to date.
