Bingo Paradise Rating

Ladbrokes is one of the most recognisable brand names in the United Kingdom. That big red-and-white banner is plastered across thousands of storefronts up and down the United Kingdom, and it’s also prevalent in the online gambling sector.

Ladbrokes is part of the Ladbrokes Coral group, formed from two of the UK’s biggest betting brands. It is owned by Entain PLC (formerly GVC Holdings), a FTSE 100 company that also owns Foxy Bingo, bwin, and Party Poker.

The focus of this review is Ladbrokes Bingo, which operates under a subdomain of the main Ladbrokes site and can be accessed by anyone with a Ladbrokes Casino or Sportsbook account.

As with the rest of the site, the bingo room is governed by the authorities of the UK and Gibraltar and is available to players throughout the UK and in many other regions around the world.

The Welcome Offer

Deposit and spend £5 as a new player and you can collect a £25 Welcome Bonus. This bonus can be used in any of the site’s bingo rooms and a wagering requirement of just 2x applies to all winnings, much less than the limits applied by many sites and especially those that offer UK free spins.

Significant terms:

18+. New Bingo players only. Deposit required. Spend £5 or more on Bingo Tickets to get £25 Bingo Bonus. 2x wagering requirements apply to Bonus. Accept Bonus within 14 days. Bonus valid for 30 days. Certain deposit types excluded. Player restrictions and T&Cs apply.

The only real issue with this bonus, and one that you’ll see tucked away in the many Terms and Conditions, is that it’s not available to players who deposit using Envoy,Paypal, Paysafe, Skrill, Neteller, prepaid cards, and “certain debit cards”.

It would have been easier to list the methods that do qualify.

I’m assuming that “certain debit cards” means Maestro, as the only other two are Visa and Mastercard, and they are rarely excluded. If so, and if CashtoCode is in the “prepaid card” category, that means only Visa, Mastercard, and Trustly will qualify (based on my best guess).

It’s disappointing, but if you use those methods anyway, it’s irrelevant. Personally, I used to use PayPal on Ladbrokes, but I’ve been getting errors for the past 6 months (see “Ladbrokes Software” below) so I switched. It forced me into that move, and by limiting its Welcome Offer, it’s doing the same for new players.

Promotions

Bonuses are definitely not in short supply here. Ladbrokes is a massive brand with some huge capital behind it, so you’ll see plenty of jackpots, guaranteed tournaments, and more. If you move over to the casino and sportsbook, you’ll see even more top bonuses, although most of these can’t be used on bingo games.

Ladbrokes Software

I haven’t had the best experience with Ladbrokes. I have joined hundreds of casinos and sportsbooks and spent countless hours browsing them, and throughout that time, few sites have annoyed me as much as Ladbrokes.

There’s something about my setup (MacBook with Chrome) that it just doesn’t seem to like.

I joined Ladbrokes 6 or 7 years ago and my first experience with the site was a sign-up process akin to a mosh pit. It didn’t load properly, it kept timing out, and when I eventually found some stability, I was rocked with constant demands to change my username.

It didn’t matter what I entered, everything was failing, even the most obscure names.

“It’s not long enough.”

“Someone else has that name.”

“We just don’t like your face.”

In my frustration, I created a username that was basically the R-rated version of “Get Lost Ladbrokes” anticipating that it would be refused, and I would leave feeling that I had vented a little.

To my surprise, it was accepted, and so I began my Ladbrokes journey with a username that I could never recite to Live Chat or phone support. It was messy, awkward, embarrassing, and it epitomised my experience with the site.

Fortunately, it has improved significantly over the years, but there are still some frustrating issues here and there, including games that won’t load, pages that move at a snail’s pace, payment options that don’t work, and pop-ups that appear so far off-screen I can’t interact with them.

Maybe it’s just me, but it’s worth noting that I have active accounts with dozens of sites and have joined hundreds more to conduct reviews. Throughout that time, few sites have bothered me as much as Ladbrokes and I’ve never had the same issue with a brand as equally renowned.

If you don’t have these issues, however, Ladbrokes is a pretty solid site. There is a lot going on, everything is neatly arranged, and you shouldn’t have an issue finding the things you’re looking for. When it works, it’s brilliant, and thankfully, it works more often than it fails these days.

It took them a long time to reach that point, but they got there eventually. Just don’t expect this site to be frustration free if you’re using a Mac.

A “My Account” screenshot. Fortunately for me, and my reputation as a mild-mannered reviewer, it shows my first-name and not my username.

Slots and Bingo Rooms

The best Ladbrokes slots can be found under its “Slots”, “Gaming”, and “Casino” sections. It’s three different rooms with pretty much the same type of games. However, you’ll also find a scattering of slots in the bingo section.

These include Slingo games, Rainbow Riches, and a selection of NetEnt and Blueprint Gaming titles.

The bingo rooms are the main focus and there are plenty of these to choose from.

Click the “Rooms” tab to highlight the many bingo lobbies and the features they offer. Ticket prices and jackpots vary considerably and there are a variety of themes and games to explore, with regular jackpots of £10,000+.

There are also sections for 90-Ball, 75-Ball, and 30-Ball bingo, but these tabs just serve as filters for the bingo rooms.

One of the great things about playing bingo on such a major site is that the rooms are always packed during peak time. You won’t find empty chat logs and £2 prize pots here. Many of the games have hundreds of players and there are regularly thousands of players in rooms like The Terrace.

Depositing and Withdrawing

PayPal, Trustly, Paysafecard, and CashtoCode are all listed as deposit options and you can also use most debit cards. The site refers to Neteller and Skrill as possible payment options, but these aren’t available in my account so I can only assume they’re offered to non-UK players only.

I haven’t been able to use PayPal for a while and Ladbrokes is the only site that has this issue, but I have never had a problem using debit cards. Withdrawals are processed fairly quickly, but unless you’re lucky enough to use PayPal, it will take several days to receive your winnings.

Ladbrokes Bingo Review Summary

I’m sure that issues are rare on Ladbrokes Bingo and Ladbrokes in general. It’s a massive site, after all, and if everyone had the issues I’ve had, it wouldn’t have the enormous userbase it has.

If you have the same problems, you’re not going to have a good time here. If not, and if you’re happy with the limited payment options for the Welcome Bonus, it’s worth giving it a shot. After all is said and done, you’re sure to find lots of busy bingo rooms, large jackpots and regular promotions at what is one of the UK’s best-known bingo brands.
